Before you continue, everyone has to admit that at one point in their life, they thought that a cartoon mom was hot. Really -it’s OK- nobody is judging you. From early childhood, you are programmed to think this way.
#3 Jane Jetson
This 33 year-old bombshell graced the screen in the fall of 1962. Her red hair glistened through the skies of Orbit City. She is a stereotypical housewife of the year 2062, always making sure to look good for the arrival of George. When The Jetsons came back on the air in the early ’80s, viewers had the pleasure of seeing her with a darker shade of lipstick.
#2 Wilma Flintstone
Full name: Wilma Pebble Slaghoople Flintstone. This pre-historic Hilary Clinton made the Jurassic era something to wish you were a part of. The wonderful rock necklace that lay so graciously on her neck made us stare in awe at the boob tube between the age of 3-5. Not to mention, she was “best friends” with Betty Rubble (did they have those back then?) Lastly, although critical of her husband, she was always there to bail him out. What a woman!
#1 Lois Griffin
This former Miss Teen Rhode Island takes the Top award. Besides her modeling talents, there is a strong undertone that Lois is a nymphomaniac. From episodes centering around BDSM to prostitution and spankings, this would be the perfect addition to my Friday night.

For an actor with so many prolific portrayals over the last 25 years, this was a tough list to narrow down.. And through many conversations with friends regarding the topic, I learned it was also an extremely subjective one. A single criteria stood out among the rest, however: The Top 3 needed to be roles that Tom Hanks completely owned.. Performances that would have been dramatically altered had he not given them.
Based on that criteria alone, Hanks’ leading role as Forrest Gump in 1994 has to be considered the runaway favorite for tops on this list. For example, I was recently reading that John Travolta was originally tabbed to play Gump in the film but turned it down. Really? Danny Zuko? Everyone agrees that this could have altered the history of entertainment forever. Everyone in the World. Seriously; ask them.
I know there are a lot of mixed reviews as far as the plot of the film is concerned, but nobody can argue the brilliant, iconic moments that Hanks provided us with in his role as Chuck Nolan in Cast Away. Tell me who else could have single-handedly carried this movie, and I will forfeit this pick outright (Alright- don’t say Daniel Day Lewis. Just don’t.)
While I truly feel that Denzel Washington absolutely kills it in Philadelphia, Tom’s role as Andy Beckett needs to be mentioned here for its historical context alone. Respect to Hanks (and Director Jonathan Demme) for portraying the first significant character with AIDS in a feature film during a time when it could still be considered mysterious and taboo.

Being one of the definitive icons of our generation, it’s really hard to pick against Homer Simpson here. Not only has he provided us with some of the most memorable moments in T.V. History, but who could not help but gravitate toward his undying love for food and beer? No-brainer for me.
Tommy Pickles of Rugrats-fame is a pimp: plain and simple. And while he may be considered an infant by society’s standards, nobody can deny his mental prowess in difficult situations.. Sounds like somebody I can benefit from knowing.
Another pick based on spiritual and situational guidance, Master Splinter mentored my childhood heroes (TMNT), and consequentially, mentored me.
