In my own desperate attempt to support The Daily Top 3 and keep it going, I’m submitting a list of my own. It’s short but sweet.
#3 Chocolate Cream Pie
OK, when I was looking for pictures, I saw a lot of pies with chocolate crust. I don’t agree with this. A nice plain crust will do it just fine with the chocolate cream. Come on, people. Let’s not over do it. On a side note, I’d like some of these please.
#2 Apple Pie
This is the only pie where a side of ice cream doesn’t cause a sweet overload. Ahh, the sweet & sour goodness.
#1 Pumpkin Pie
Is there really a pie that is better than this? Whipped cream is a bonus, but not necessary. Who the hell wants to wait around for Thanksgiving? This should be a year-round pie. ‘Nuff said. Oh, and there’s always this.
So there’s my list. Those of you that spouted off your Top 3 list ideas, SUBMIT THEM! Let’s give Blob a few days to realize what he’s doing.
Oh, and if you love pie so much, why don’t you just wash yourself with a slice?
Fucking WEIRD.

#3 Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Raisins are good. Love the crunch factor when these are done well.
#2 Rudolph X-Mas Cookies
Aren’t these just the cutest things?! Pretzel and Chocolate really are a dreamy combo in the World of Food. The Red Hot Tomale in the center? Don’t so much know about that.. But I will forever have a place in my heart for these regardless. Thanks, Grandma!
#1 M & M Chocolate Chip Cookies
My mouth immediately started watering after finding the above picture in particular.. Because not only are these the most delicious dessert cookies in the history of The World, but those pictured above are just picturesque. Visually stunning. Even Keebler can’t screw these up.

#3 Ribs
I’d be lying if I were to say that I didn’t marginally dock Ribs for their lack of practicality at an every day barbecue in the Northeast United States.. Or maybe I just haven’t been to enough of them! It just seems to me that a nice rack of Ribs is usually reserved for special occasions (mostly due to high costs and preparation times.) But in those rare instances, well-prepared and well-flavored Ribs will make people do some very strange things.
#2 Hamburgers
Call me a Purist or Simpleton, but Hamburgers are still the cornerstone of any grilling session in my eyes. Squirt a little Ketchup & Mustard on there (no cheese) and it’s easy to understand why so many agree. Also: I don’t care if the bun is toasted, just shovel it into my mouth please.
#1 Sausages
Moreso than the other two items on this list, “Sausages” really comes off as a sort of blanket term because there are just too many distinctive variations of Sausage to give every one of them an individual mention. That being said, give me any variation of sausage off the grill (bratwurst, hot or sweet italian, chicken) and I will show you one of earth’s greatest gifts to Man. Just don’t be the guy to have to explain that there is no Sauerkraut left. You may be slapped very hard.

Moreso than maybe anything else during my childhood, I went through a ton of phases with cereal.. I think I might have even had my eating priviledges taken away from me at one point because I really used to put the stuff back. Some choice favorites from back then were Lucky Charms, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, Fruit Loops, Corn Pops, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch among many others. Shit; Alphabits, Frosted Flakes, LIFE, Cookie Crisp.. Honestly, I don’t even want to know how much cereal I’ve eaten throughout my lifetime. It’s a little scary.
Anyway, as I’ve matured my taste buds have mostly shifted away from the ultra-sweet favorites of the past and I feel pretty comfortable with my preferences for it now. There’s really not much to say about these top 3 other than I really dig them.. Although I feel obligated to point out that my entire view on cereal changed immediately after my first bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats w/ Almonds; it’s simply in a league of its own.
Also, in addition to being really delicious and crunchy, Cocoa Pebbles has the obvious added bonus of leaving you with Chocolate Milk when you’re finished. Now that’s cereal.

#3 Ketchup
As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that people either don’t like Ketchup as much as they used to or my family just really loved it, because it doesn’t seem like the coolest thing around anymore. Still, I can’t think of a reason not to have it on here.. It completely enhances Eggs, Burgers, Fries and the like. And no- it is not blasphemous to have only Ketchup on a Dog. Though limited, there are moments for it.
#2 Yellow Mustard
Consider this vote a total put-down of Brown Mustard as well.. Listen: if you’re going to give me a Hot Dog, give me what goes on a damned Dog! Since when did Yellow get such a bad rap??
#1 Barbecue Sauce
BBQ Sauce is the undisputed king of all condiments because of the innumerable flavor varieties it provides us with and their many proven applications. Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork: Check. Burgers, Dogs, Fries: Check. Cereal, Soup, Coffee: Yeah, probably those too.

After sitting down with a couple of these during a muggy New Jersey evening it was clear that this had to be done. Nobody I was with was able to completely agree on a list, anyway.. Everyone seems to have their own reasons for why one is better than the other. And I can’t even really back these up either- they seem to have a little less syrup in them, maybe? Blue & Green lose out based on that criteria alone. These flavors just come off as more refreshing and awesome to me.
