The NFL, to me, has the 2nd largest concentration of thug athletes representing their league right now (it is unlikely that the NBA will ever be surpassed in this category), and Brandon Marshall has clearly been waving that flag for the past 3 years.

In that time, deputies in Douglas County have fielded “about 11″ calls regarding domestic abuse at Marshall’s home, he has been arrested for DUI, and appears to have had some involvement in the altercation that lead to the fatal shooting of teammate Darrent Williams a couple of years ago. On top of that, it’s hard to ignore the beef that he has with the Broncos all of a sudden.. If there’s one thing I can’t stand about pro athletes, it’s the fact that so many of them refuse to honor their contracts. Listen; I would never wish injury upon an athlete. But I don’t think I’d mind seeing this guy slip on a McDonalds bag and crash through a television, either.. Unless it’s already happened or something.

#2 Steve Smith

Alright, maybe Steve Smith doesn’t exactly deserve the #2 spot here because he doesn’t really have a rap sheet or a terrible image, so this one is definitely more about having a personal distaste for the guy. I mean, he punched his own teammate in the face! During practice! And did anyone see him kick his helmet and throw a hissy fit after he hurt his shoulder in training camp? “YOU CAN WATCH IT ON REPLAY, NFL NETWORK”. Sorry, Steve. You are a total douchebag. (I would never, ever say that to your face though.)

Obviously, Little Ol’ Plaxy here is the reason we’re doing this list today so I guess I don’t have to elaborate much on him (ESPN has that covered!) I’ll just say that I really don’t feel bad for the guy.. And for me, that’s a sure way of knowing he’s a huge asshole.

Hmmm.. You know what? Maybe Brandon Marshall should be #1 after all.
